Dearly Beloved in Christ

My heart is overjoyed as I invite you to join us in this Life transforming experience and praying that you will return from this pilgrimage and Prayer retreat with an enhanced revelation of God Almighty and His Christ.

Our intention is three fold

  1. To get each one of us to a deeper revelation of Jesus Christ
  2. To have that personal experience of the land where Jesus Christ of Nazareth walked and to experience many of the wonderful stories we have read from the Holy Scriptures
  3. To enable us seek God more and to deepen our most Holy faith
  4. A time of prayer to the God of Abraham, Isaac and Isreal and father of our Lord Jesus Christ
  5. We pray that the bible comes to life for us in a very new way.

Take a flight to Israel from the UK Meeting and assistance on arrival and transfer to your hotel for overnight stay in Jerusalem.

Day 2 Wednesday 16th January – The Galilee*

After morning worship, depart Jerusalem early after breakfast and drive to visit Nazareth and the Church of the Annunciation. Drive past the village of Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle and then visit Capernaum – the adopted hometown of Jesus -where we’ll see the remains of Peter’s house where Jesus based his adult ministry, & the synagogue where he preached. We’ll visit the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus delivered the Sermon on the Mount, before driving to Nof Ginosaur to see the ‘Jesus boat’ – a wooden boat dating from the time of Jesus. We’ll then take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. End the day at Yardenit, the traditional baptismal site where a number of the group will be baptised. Return to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley passing Beit Shean and Jericho. Dinner, 3 hour seminar & overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 3 Thursday 17th January – Jerusalem & Bethlehem*

After morning worship, we’ll begin the day by visiting Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus, taking in the Church of the Nativity. From there, we’ll stop off at Herodium, the fortress of Herod that eventually housed his tomb. We’ll then return to Jerusalem to enjoy the view of the city from the Mount of Olives, walk down part of the traditional Palm Sunday route to the Garden of Gethsemane, and relive the trial of Jesus at the traditional site of Caiaphas’ House. Day 4 Friday 18th January

After morning worship, we will start our day with visit to the Western Wall,. Continue our visit in the Christian Quarter; visit St Ann’s Crusader Church, Ecce Homo, Antonia Fortress and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Drive to Mt Carmel – Muchraka . On the southeast Carmel summit is Muchraka, also known as the Horn of Carmel nearly 500 meters above sea level. Muchraka means the place of burning. The Muchraka Carmelite monastery commemorates the place of the dramatic contest described in the Book of Kings I between the Prophet Elijah and the priests of the pagan god Baal Enjoy the tremendous view of the spacious Jezreel Valley spreads out to the north and east from Mount Carmel, providing convenient passage for international travellers in ancient times.  The fertile alluvial soil makes this, the country’s breadbasket as well.  The Bible speaks of the gathering of armies in this valley at the place of Armageddon.  Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.
