Day 1 – UK – Israel

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, where our local representatives, Diesenhaus – Unitours will help you with formalities. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay in Tel Aviv


Day 2 – Tel Aviv – Haifa

After breakfast depart hotel for a morning of sightseeing in modern Tel Aviv and Old Jaffa, driving via Dizengoff Circle, the Habimah National Theatre and Mann Auditorium to the ancient port of Jaffa, now an Artist’s Quarter. Continue along the coastal road to Caesarea to view the archaeological ruins of this ancient Herodian Port City, important Byzantine centre and crusader stronghold.

Dinner and overnight stay in Haifa.


DAY 3 – Haifa – Tiberias

Begin the day with a tour of Haifa visiting the Bahai Temple situated in the beautiful Persian Gardens and then onto Mt. Carmel for a panoramic view of Haifa and the north. Drive south to Zippori, remains of an early settlement, mainly from the Roman and Byzantine periods and then onto Safed, the ancient centre of Jewish mysticism and now and Artist’s Quarter. After a visit to a Kibbutz, drive through the Golan Heights.

Dinner and overnight stay in Tiberias.


DAY 4 – Tiberias – Jerusalem

Start the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee before visiting Capernaum to view the ruins of an ancient synagogue. Continue to Nazareth with its Christian sanctuaries and visit the Church of the Annunciation. Drive to Beit Shean, the most monumental Roman/Byzantine city in the area and then proceed to Jerusalem via the Jordan Valley and Jericho, the lowest and oldest inhabited city on earth.

Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.


DAY 5 – Jerusalem – Bethlehem – Jerusalem

Tour the Old City of Jerusalem beginning at the Mt. of Olives for a breath-taking view of the entire city spread out below. Enter the Old City through the Jewish Quarter to view the Byzantine Cardo and the Herodian Mansions. Visit the Western Wall and view the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount. Walk along the Via Dolorosa to view the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of Nativity. Return to Jerusalem via Haas Promenade for a view of the City of David from its southern side. Continue to the Israel Museum to view the Model of Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book, housing the Dead Sea Scrolls. During the course of the day you will visit Caprice fine jewellery – the national diamond centre.

DAY 6 – New Jerusalem

Sightseeing tour of the New City of Jerusalem beginning at the Hadassah Medical Centre to view the famous Chagall Windows depicting the Twelve Tribes of Israel. Continue to Jewish national Fund Forest in the Jerusalem Hills to enjoy the experience of planting a tree with your own hands. Continue to the Yad Vashem Memorial – the Holocaust Museum – and then onto the Herzl Cemetery to view the grave of the late Yitzhak Rabin. Return to your hotel via the Knesset, the Presidents House and the Jerusalem Theatre.

Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.


DAY 7 – Jerusalem – Dead Sea – Jerusalem

Descend through the Judean Hills to Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth, to visit Masada. Tour the famed archaeological site including King Herod’s Palace. Drive by Ein Gedi and enjoy the opportunity to float in the Dead Sea.

Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.


DAY 8 – Jerusalem – UK

Transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your return flight home.
