DAY 1 – UK – Israel

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, where our local representatives, Diesenhaus – Unitours will help you with formalities. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay in Tel Aviv


DAY 2 – Tel Aviv – Jaffa

Sightseeing tour of modern Tel Aviv, the city that never stops. Sites included are the Diaspora Museum, which tells the history of the Jewish people in other lands; Ben Gurion House, the Tel Aviv residence of Israel’s first Prime Minister, Rabin Square to see the memorial to late Yitzhak Rabin and Dizengoff Street with its many boutiques and coffee houses. Continue to Neve Tsedek, the original centre of Tel Aviv cultural life, now restored preserving the design and colour of the historical buildings. Drive by Jaffa and ancient port city over 4,000 years old and today as picturesque artist’s quarter.

DAY 3 – Tel Aviv  – Day at leisure


DAY 4 – Tel Aviv – Haifa

Depart Tel Aviv and drive north along the coastal road to Caesarea and view the archaeological ruins of this ancient Herodian port city, Byzantine centre and Crusader stronghold. Continue to Megiddo, where excavations have uncovered a millennium of history. Drive to Beit Shean an area commemorating the first settlers of modern Israel as well as burial chambers dating back to 2nd century Jewish scholars. Proceed to the Druze village of Daliyat-El-Carmel and learn more about the unusual and interesting life style.

DAY 5 – Haifa – Galilee

Begin the day with a tour of Haifa visiting the Bahai Temple situated in the beautiful Persian Gardens and then onto Mt. Carmel for a panoramic view of Haifa and the north. Drive to Acre, an ancient port city steeped in history. Cross the mountains in the upper Galilee to Safed, famous since the Middle Ages as a centre of Jewish mysticism and now a popular artist’s quarter. Drive to the Golan Heights. First stop Banias springs, one of the sources of the Jordan River, then visit Katzrin the capital of the Golan.

DAY 6 – Galilee – Jerusalem

In the morning drive to Capernaum and view the ruins of an ancient synagogue. Enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee to Tiberias, one of the four Holy Cities. Continue to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his early years and visit the Church of Annunciation. Drive through the Jordan Valley Rift to Beit Shean dating back more than 5,000 years, where excavations have revealed 18 levels of history. Continue to Jericho the oldest inhabited city in the world.

DAY 7 – Jerusalem

Start the day with a visit to the Knesset then drive to the Hadassah Medical Centre to view the world famous Chagall Windows depicting the Twelve Tribes of Israel. In a nearby forest take a few moments to plant a tree. Proceed to Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust and then to Mt. Herzl to view the grave of the late Yitzhak Rabin. End the day with a visit to the Israel Museum to view the model of Jerusalem in the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book housing the Dead Sea Scrolls.

DAY 8 – Jerusalem – Bethlehem – Jerusalem

Capture the drama of Jerusalem with a breath taking view of the entire City of David from Mt. Scopus and the Mt. of Olives. Enter the Walled City and visit the Jewish Quarter with its reconstructed Byzantine Cardo and the Herodian Mansions. Continue to the Western Wall and view the Dome of the Rock. Walk the Via Dolorosa ending at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Exit the Old City via Mt. Zion and King David’s Tomb. Drive to Bethlehem via Rachel’s Tomb to visit the Church of Nativity.

DAY 9 – Jerusalem – Dead Sea – Jerusalem

Descend through the Judean Wilderness, via the Inn of the Good Samaritan, to the lowest place on earth – the Dead Sea. Drive along the base of Masada, the last stronghold of Jews against the Romans. Ascend by cable car and tour this mountain top fortress including Herod’s palace, an ancient synagogue and a bathhouse. After descending, drive to nearby oasis and enjoy an opportunity to float in the unique waters of the Dead Sea. Before returning to Jerusalem visit the Qumran Caves, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

DAY 10 – JerusalemDay at Leisure


DAY 11 – Jerusalem

Today’s touring will be begin in the Walled City in the Tower of David Museum which depicts 3,000 years of Jerusalem’s history. Drive to the Judean Hills and visit the Soreq Caves, a wonderland of stalactite and stalagmite caves. Continue to the Scrolls of Fire Sculpture, a memorial which depicts the horrors of the Holocaust and the foundation of Israel and the hope and peace.

Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.


DAY 12 – Israel – UK

Leave Jerusalem and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your flight home to the UK.
