DAY 1 – UK – Israel

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, where our local representatives, Diesenhaus – Unitours will help you with formalities. Transfer to hotel for overnight stay in Tel Aviv


DAY 2 – Tel Aviv – Tiberias

Depart hotel and visit biblical Joppa where Jonah the Prophet boarded a ship bound for Tarshish. Drive to Caesarea where Paul was imprisoned and tried, and where he converted Cornelius. Continue to Megiddo (Armageddon) one of King Solomon’s chariot cities. Proceed to Nazareth, where Jesus spent his early years and visit Mary’s Well and the Church of the Annunciation. Just north of Nazareth is the village of Cana, the site of Jesus’ first miracle.

Dinner and overnight stay in Tiberias.


DAY 3 – Tiberias – Capernaum – Tiberias

Begin the day with a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee from Tiberias to Nof Ginosar. View the remains of a boat from the time of Jesus. Continue to Capernaum, centre of Jesus’ Ministry. Located here are the ruins of an ancient synagogue and the site of Peter’s house. Proceed to Tabgha, the site of the Miracle of the Loaves and Fish and see the fish mosaic from the 5th century Byzantine basilica. Drive to the Mt. of Beatitudes, sight of the ‘Sermon on the Mount’. Take some time for personal meditation. Travel through the Upper Galilee to Banias Springs (Caesarea Philippe) where Peter made his confession of faith.

DAY 4 – Tiberias – Jerusalem

Depart Tiberias and drive to Yardenit on the shore of the Jordan River with an option to renew Baptismal promises. Visit Mt. Tabor site of the Transfiguration. Drive through the Jordan Valley Rift to Beit Shean, where excavations have revealed 18 levels of history. Continue on to Jericho, the oldest and lowest inhabited city in the world. Ascend the Judean Hills passing the Inn of the Good Samaritan. Visit the Tomb of Lazarus in Bethany.

Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.


DAY 5 – Jerusalem

Begin the day’s tour on the Mt. of Olives for a breath taking view of the entire city. Walk down the traditional Palm Sunday route to the Church of All Nations and the Garden of Gethsemane. Drive via Kidron Valley to Mt. Zion and visit the Room of the Last Supper and David’s Tomb. Continue on foot to the Walled City. In the Jewish Quarter see the Cardo and Western Wall. Enjoy the panoramic view of the Dome of the Rock on the Temple Mount. In the Christian Quarter visit St. Ann’s Crusader Church, Ecce Homo (Lithostrotos) Antonia Fortress and the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. End the day with a communion service in the garden Tomb (Gordon’s Calvary)

DAY 6 – Jerusalem

Tour the New City of Jerusalem beginning at Yad Vashem Memorial to the Holocaust and the Israel Museum to see the scale model of ancient Jerusalem in the time of the Second Temple and the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. In the afternoon drive to Mangers Square in Bethlehem and visit the Church of Nativity and the grotto.

Dinner and overnight stay in Jerusalem.


DAY 7 – Jerusalem – Dead Sea – Jerusalem

Depart Jerusalem and drive through the Judean Wilderness to the lowest point on earth – the Dead Sea. Stop for a scenic view of St. Georges Monastery in Wadi Kelt. Drive along the shores of the Dead Sea to the base of Masada, the last stronghold of the Jewish Zealots against the Romans. Ascend by cable car and tour the famed archaeological site including Herod’s palace, an ancient synagogue and a bathhouse. After descending drive to a nearby oasis and enjoy an opportunity to swim or ‘float’ in the unique waters of the Dead Sea. Before returning to Jerusalem visit Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered.

DAY 8 – Israel – UK

Leave Jerusalem and transfer to Ben Gurion Airport for your flight home to the UK.
