Margaret Curtis read Classics at Cambridge, specialising in Greek philosophy and Patristic theology, and went on to take a PhD in Greek philosophy at Manchester. She has worked in Adult Education for many years, principally as an Associate Lecturer with the Open University, where she taught Greek, Latin and a variety of courses in Classical Studies. She is also involved in the training of Methodist Local Preachers, teaching Old and New Testament Studies and Christian Doctrine as well as the practical aspects of preaching. She continues to teach Greek, Latin and Classical Studies privately, and to organise field trips, theatre visits and study tours. In conjunction with ITS, she has led Classical-interest study tours to Athens and the Argolid, the Bay of Naples, and Rome and its environs during the last twelve years.
